About

a month in refunds you could be appealing.

If 1 in 4 appeals won, about £182 a month would come back to you, after our 30% of the £260 recovered.

Share of appeals that win, your assumption

Worked from the figures above, not a promise of any return. The win rate is your choice: we will publish real rates once our pilots have them.

Every refund starts a clock. Miss it and the money stays gone.

An illustration, not your claims. Say an order was placed at 10:05 today, the customer complained, and the refund notice reached you the same minute. This is how long each app would give you to dispute it, counting down on your own clock now.

  • Just Eat

Our reminder, not a Just Eat deadline

    Reminder in

No published window. We remind you at 30 days from the notice: reported by operators, unconfirmed by Just Eat.

In practice a notice can arrive days after the order, and Uber Eats counts from the order, so part of its window can be gone before you hear about it. Order Defence puts the claim that closes first at the top of your inbox. Windows from each app's partner help pages, checked September 2026.

The photo can be faked. The signs are still there.

If the platform showed you the customer's photo, attach it. We show what the file says about itself, check whether the same customer identifier has claimed before, and set your own packing record against the claim. None of it is proof, and we never call a photo fake.

What we point out on a claim like this

  1. No camera information in the file

Photos taken on a phone usually carry it. Screenshots and re-saved images lose it too, so it is a sign to look at, not proof.

  2. 1024 by 1024 pixels

A size image generators commonly produce. Plenty of ordinary images share it.

  3. A second claim from this customer identifier in 30 days

Matched on a one-way fingerprint of the identifier, never a name or an address.

  4. Your own record for order 4702

Packed at 18:40, bag stapled, as your confirmed packing process says. This, not the photo, is what the appeal cites.
